  • Overview

MangoSSH is a cross-platform remote connection manager that puts SSH, RDP, VNC, file transfer and serial consoles in one window.

One window: every saved connection, grouped by protocol.

One desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux that replaces a folder full of separate tools — SSH client, RDP and VNC viewer, SFTP browser, port-forwarding utility and password manager. There is no server component for personal use: the app connects directly to whatever host you point it at.

    Key capabilities

    • Every protocol in one place — SSH, RDP, VNC, SFTP, Telnet, serial consoles and a local terminal, all from the same toolbar.
    • Encrypted by default — Your saved host list is encrypted at rest from first launch, with a key held in your operating system's own credential store.
    • Thirteen authentication methods — Passwords, SSH keys, agents and FIDO2 security keys, hardware tokens, external secret managers and CA-signed certificates.
    • Built for teams — Shared vaults, fleet-wide policy, just-in-time access approval and a tamper-evident audit log.
    • Automation — Saved scripts across many hosts, an MCP server for external AI tools, and an in-app assistant that reads terminal output on request.

    Quick start

    1. Download and run the installer for your platform.
    2. Launch MangoSSH. It opens on the Dashboard with an empty connection list.
    3. Add your first host, pick an authentication method, and save.
    4. Click the host to connect. Everything you save is encrypted at rest automatically.
